The course

What the course asks of you

Five video sessions, no morning routine, and a claim about the mind that you are free to reject at any point.

The Ultimate Freedom On-Demand course was made by Robert Scheinfeld, who wrote the book I've written about elsewhere. It's the structured version of the same territory — the book opens a door, the course walks you through it in order, built by the person who found it.

I'm putting it here because I arrived at the same conclusions independently, through the course and then through several years of testing it against an actual life, and because the alternative — writing at length about ideas and then coyly declining to say where they came from — is worse.

What it is, mechanically

Five video sessions, watched on your own schedule. Robert calls the thing he's transmitting the Truth Virus, which is a deliberately ridiculous name for a serious idea: not a practice you maintain but an understanding that, once it takes, keeps working on the patterns underneath frustration, overthinking and resistance without you managing it.

There are no mantras. No morning routine. No app, no streak, no community you're expected to post in. Nothing you have to keep doing forever for the benefits to persist — which, if you've cycled through the usual tools, is the part that should get your attention, because maintenance-dependence is the standard failure mode of everything in this category.

Why it isn't self-improvement

Most approaches try to change how you feel without ever examining how feeling works. They're often effective, briefly. Then the technique wears in, the novelty goes, and you're back where you started with a new subscription.

This runs at a different level. It isn't trying to install a better you. It's trying to make the machinery visible — and the odd, counterintuitive finding is that once the machinery is visible, a great deal of it stops running on its own. Not because you fought it. Because it was only ever running on not being seen.

It isn't about fixing yourself. It's about seeing yourself accurately, which turns out to make most of the fixing unnecessary.

That's the whole claim. It's either true in your experience or it isn't, and five sessions is a short enough test to find out.

What people tend to report

Consistently, in roughly this order: the mental noise gets quieter without anyone working at it. Stress still arrives but stops sticking. Decisions get simpler, mostly because fewer of them feel existential. Old emotional triggers lose their charge. And the background sense that the whole thing is resting on your shoulders starts to come off.

Life keeps moving at the same speed. It just stops being personal drama.

Who should skip it

Worth being direct, since nobody selling this sort of thing ever is.

  • If you want a technique to practise, this will frustrate you. There isn't one, and the absence is the point.
  • If you need the person teaching to be certain, Robert won't oblige. He points; he doesn't insist.
  • If you're in genuine crisis, this is not the right tool and I'd say the same if you were sitting across from me. It's a way of understanding how the mind runs, not care. Get the care first.
  • If the idea that reality might be considerably stranger than it appears is simply unavailable to you, you'll bounce off chapter nine of the book long before the course, and you'll have saved yourself the money.

The live version

For a while Robert and I ran this as a five-day live event — forty-odd people in a room, the same exploration in real time, considerably less predictable and considerably more human than video. I'm not currently selling seats to it, so this isn't a pitch. I mention it because several of the accounts below are from that room rather than from the course, and attributing them accurately matters more than having them all point at the thing that's for sale.

Robert comes out of corporate sales and I came out of building companies. Two unrelated worlds that arrived at the same observation: you can achieve the whole material thing and still not feel complete. That shared finding is why the collaboration exists.

What people said

Unedited, exactly as originally published. Some are from the five-day live event, some from the on-demand course; each is marked. They describe individual experiences.

The 5 days of the Ultimate Freedom experience was like nothing else I have ever experienced. The build-up is slow but suddenly on Day 3 there was a total shift for me. It is such a gift and I have never felt lighter. I am excited to see how all of this integrates for me in the coming days, weeks and months. But my biggest aha is your path is destined so you can experience every emotion and watch your story unfold, free of suffering and judgement.

No words can capture the miracle of the past five days. How forty people came together so perfectly to support each of our stories. I shed my fear of judgment and failure, allowing myself to live and lead authentically as a role model for my daughters. This was the most comfortable and meaningful live event I've ever attended, and I return home with little mental noise and a deep sense of peace.

The Ultimate Freedom Experience was a true journey of discovery. I went from 'this is bullshit' to 'Robert might be onto something' to peacefully allowing it to transform me in its own way. It was a freeing experience that opened me up to new people, new possibilities, and a more patient, peaceful, less judgmental version of myself.
